CIC is having its own independent R&D Center Recognized and Approved by the Govt. of India (GOI), Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DST) since 1983. The center has regularly been audited by the DST, GOI in 1986, 1989, 1992, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2004, 2007 and has been given continuous recognition without a break since 1983. The center presently has a registration valid till 31.03.2010 vide registration No. TU/IV-RD/820/2007, dated 04.10.2007.

The R&D establishment is housed in a separate floor with an area of 4000 sq. ft. in the main building. It is equipped with ultra modern facilities including test and calibration laboratories. The R&D Center is headed by very senior scientists, Dr. M. K. Shingari and Dr. (Mrs.) Shingari having experience of over 40 years and 38 years respectively. Apart from this, this center is having several graduate and post graduate engineers for the developmental work.

CIC has not only survived but seen over all positive growth in the free world market mainly due to the advanced technologies being developed and implemented by the R&D center for the CIC products.

Apart from upgrading the existing range of products viz Gas Chromatographs, Data Processors and other Analytical Instruments to the International Standards, we have successfully completed the design, development and manufacturing of Trace Elemental analyzers (Determinators), TOGA and Process Gas Chromatographs (On-Line Gas Chromatographs) which are all IMPORT SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS.
